We are fast approaching our 2008 volleyball season, please find requirements for certification

 

Each year NEW members are required to:

- Attend one regional clinic

- Attend two study sessions (one of which must be during the competitive volleyball season)

- Attend one mechanic clinic

- Pass the closed book written test with 90%+ 

 

Each year CERTIFIED members are required to:

-Attend one regional clinic, attend two study sessions (one of which must be during the competitive volleyball season) and pass the written test with 90%+

               -Scrimmage tournaments count as a study session

-Tests not completed by August 28, 2008 will require the official to take the test closed book the following season

 

Each year PROVISIONAL members are required to:

-Attend one regional clinic, attend two study sessions (one of which must be during the competitive volleyball season) and pass the written test with 75%+

               -Scrimmage tournaments count as a study session

               -Must take the test closed book at the new officials test date

-After a member has been Provisional for a period of two years, he or she must obtain certified status the third year, or the third year go to non-participating or be dropped from the membership. At that time they may reapply for new membership the fourth year.

-Provisional members may not officiate any post season play or hold an office within CVOA
